NC State Goes North: The No. 37 Wolfpack will travel north to play Maryland on Friday, April 16 at 2:30 pm and Boston College on Sunday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m.
The Series Against Maryland: This match will be the 35th meeting between the Wolfpack and Terrapins. The two met last year with Maryland pulling out a 4-3 victory. The Pack last beat the Terps in 2008, winning 6-1.
The Series Versus Boston College: NC State and Boston College will be meeting each other for only the 7th time. The Wolfpack has won four of the six matches. The Pack took down the Eagles last year, 5-2.
Wolfpack Ends Senior Day on High Note: With two of the all-time winniest players at NC State, playing their final matches at home, the Pack zoomed past No. 69 Virginia Tech 6-1. Seniors Berkeley Brock and Daria Petrovic both earned victories in singles and doubles.
Pack Loses Tough Match: NC State fought hard, but couldn’t overcome losing the doubles point and fell to No. 40 Virginia 4-3. No. 68 Sandhya Nagaraj upset No. 42 Lindsey Hardenbergh in three sets. Berkeley Brock and Chloe Smith also recorded wins.
Pack Moving Up Rankings: Starting the season unranked, the Wolfpack has steadily climbed up the ITA rankings. The Pack is currently ranked No. 37 in the country.
Seniors Approaching Records: Both Berkeley Brock and Daria Petrovic are rising up the record charts at NC State. Brock and Petrovic are tied for third place with 42 spring doubles wins. Brock’s 45 spring singles wins is sixth all-time and her .529 singles winning percentage is 10th.
The Doubles Point Matters: In college tennis, winning the doubles point goes a long way toward winning the match. For NC State it is no different. The Wolfpack is 10-0 when the doubles point was won.
