Baseball Hosts North Carolina A&T

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State baseball team will be playing its fifth home game in six days, as it hosts North Carolina A&T (3-6) on Tuesday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m. The Wolfpack (10-1) own an 11-0 series advantage versus the Aggies.
The probable starters are Danny Healey (0-0, 6.35) and Esterlin Paulino (1-1, 1.80).
The Wolfpack is coming off a three game weekend sweep against Quinnipiac and a midweek 10-3 victory versus Xavier. The high octane offense continued for the Pack as it outscored the Bobcats 48-16.
With the hot start, NC State has moved up No. 28 in the latest Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll.
On Thursday, Andrew Ciencin went 5-for-5 and drove in six runs, and Cory Mazzoni worked 5 2/3 strong innings to the the Pack to victory over the Musketeers.
Chris Schaeffer led the way for the 17-6 victory for the Wolfpack on Friday, going 4-for-5 at the plate with a homer and three RBIs. Rob Chamra picked up his third win of the season in a relief appearance.
On Saturday, Jake Buchanan (2-1) shined as he allowed only four hits no earned runs through six innings. Dallas Poulk and Danny Canella each chipped in a homer and three RBIs in route to a 14-3 win.
Dallas and Drew Poulk led a 17-hit attack with three hits apiece to lead the Pack to a 17-7 victory on Sunday. Reliever Grant Sasser (2-0) recorded the win.
The Wolfpack has scored double digit runs over the past four games and seven of the 11 games played.
