Rifle Finishes Collegiate Sectional

Charleston, S.C. - The NC State rifle team finished the second day of the Collegiate Sectional on Sunday, Feb. 14. Today was the smallbore portion of the sectional. The Wolfpack shot a smallbore score of 2,220 to add to their air-rifle score of 2,305 from yesterday. The total score was 4,525. The Pack finished second behind Columbus State who had 2,255 points in smallbore and 2,306 in air-rifle.
The Collegiate Sectional is part of the NCAA qualifying score. The Pack's ranking is composed of 50% this match, and the other 50% coming from the top three previous scores which were 4,573, 4,572 and 4,561 points. NC State's NCAA qualification score is 9093.67.
William Teller led the Pack on the day with a 566 smallbore score. Martha Hall had a season-high 563. Mark Nations shot a 554. Kat Siegert was right behind him with 553 points.
Bryan Cross shot a 551. Rachel Jones had a smallbore score of 550. Samantha Bullard finished with 548 points. Amy Roderer rounded out the day with 532 points.
The Wolfpack travel to Oxford, Miss. on Saturday, Feb. 20 to partake in the GARC Championships. The Pack stand at 17-9 on the year and 12-0 in the SEARC.
