Wolfpack Finishes Second at SEARC 3

ANNISTON, ALA. - NC State rifle finished second to The Citadel at the SEARC 3 meet Saturday in Anniston, Ala.
The second-place finish marks the third time this season that NC State has been runner-up to the Bulldogs, bringing the Wolfpack's record to 16-6 (14-3 SEARC, 0-2 GARC).
William Teller and Bryan Cross tied to lead all NC State shooters with totals of 570.
Martha Hall posted a 556. Madeline Pike rounded out the Wolfpack's scorecard with a 547.
Mark Nations contributed a 538, which left him outside the top four scorers for State.
NC State's team total, 2,243, placed them second among seven SEARC teams, falling short of The Citadel's 2,265 points.
The Wolfpack scored wins over Clemson, Georgia Military College, Mercer, NGCSU, and Wofford.
NC State returns to action Saturday, November 13 at the SEARC 4 meet in Spartandburg, S.C.
