Several lucky Wolfpack fans won tickets to the anticipated match-up between NC State and Virginia Tech during the week leading up to the game. Congratulations to Daryl Norris, the winner of the Taco Bell Giveaway. He received a pair of tickets to the game along with a Taco Bell prize pack and gift certificate.
Brandon Joyce was the lucky winner of the Kanki Trivia Contest for Week 3. By exercising his NC State Football knowledge he won four tickets to the game and dinner for four at Kanki!
The CPI Security Red Zone winner for the Virginia Tech game was David Watson. Congratulations to David of Raleigh, this week's lucky winner.
Prior to kickoff on Saturday, the North Carolina Pork Council Pork Patrol was on the lookout for pork products featured in a tailgate. This week's winner was Greg "Bubba" Anderson of Marion, NC. He proudly displayed his pulled pork, pork ribs, and sausage for his tailgaters. By using pork at his tailgate, he won a great prize pack including the signature Pork Patrol apron and had his tailgate featured during the game on the video-board.
Moore and Johnson Insurance presented the NC State Women's Soccer team and last year's ACC Champion Cross Country team as the teams of the game during the first half. Joining the teams on the field were honorary team members Kaitlyn Branam, an 8th grader at Cedar Creek Middle School and Travis Stoker, and 8th grader at West Millbrook Middle School
During the break between the first and second quarters, NC State student Layton Brown had two chances to make a 30 yard field goal in the Hardee's Field Goal Kick promotion. At stake were Free Sausage Biscuit coupons courtesy of Hardee's for 50,000 fans in attendance. He was not successful in making the kick, but in honor of Hardee's 50th Anniversary, fans still received the coupons as they exited the stadium.
During the second quarter, Bruce Dennis participated in the CPI Security Red Zone Throw. Bruce had one chance to complete a 10-yard pass through the CPI Security target - unfortunately Bruce did not make the throw, but his participation was appreciated!
Congratulations all of the contest and promotion winners at the Virginia Tech game.
