Bhambri and Nagaraj Headline Strong Day at Regional

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - NC State's Sanaa Bhambri and Sandhya Nagaraj enjoyed a perfect record with a combined three victories Saturday at the ITA Regional Indoors in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Bhambri edged Mikaela Kristofferson of Coastal Carolina 6-4, 6-4, advancing to the Round of 32 to play UNC's Jennifer Stone at 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
Nagaraj defeated Ales Whitehead of UNC Greensboro 6-0, 6-4. She will face Winthrop's Andressa Garcia at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the Round of 32.
Bhambri and Nagaraj also teamed to defeat UNC's Durisic/Lyons pairing 9-7, advancing to take on top-seeded Bek/Wong of Clemson Saturday at 9 a.m. in the quarterfinals as the last remaining Wolfpack doubles team.
Tana Illova bested George Washington's Erica White 6-1, 6-2. Illova advances to play Duke's Mary Clayton at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Lenka Hojckova cruised past Cayla Cross of North Carolina A&T 6-0, 6-0. Hojckova will square off against UNC's Shinann Featherston Saturday at noon.
In doubles, Hojckova and Illova dropped an 8-6 decision to Garcia/Zaytseva from Winthrop in the Round of 16.
In singles play Joelle Kissell fell to Nitooli Wilkins of UNC Greensboro 6-2, 7-6, Christy Sipes dropped a 6-0, 6-2 decision to Klara Vsykocialova of Clemson, and Chloe Smith lost to Lauren McHale of UNC 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, Miller and Sipes fell to Duke's Clayton/Gorney team 8-1 in the Round of 16.
