RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State athletics has launched RussellWilson16.com, a promotional website for the Wolfpack's all-star junior quarterback and professional baseball player.
The flash-driven site highlights the two-sport standout's status as "A Man For All Seasons," including biography, a feature story, highlight videos, photographs, his football and baseball statistics and academic record, as well as insights from many who have been impressed by Wilson's play over the last three years as NC State's starting quarterback.
"Russell is one of the most remarkable athletes NC State has ever produced," said Wolfpack head coach Tom O'Brien. "This website puts all of his accomplishments and talents into proper perspective."
Wilson, who graduated with a degree in communications last spring, is enrolled in graduate school and helped lead the Wolfpack to a 4-0 start to the 2010 season. He also spent the spring playing baseball for Elliott Avent's baseball program before being drafted in the fourth round of the Major League draft of amateur players in spring.
The site collects the many feature stories written about Wilson since the summer, all of which detail his athletic ability and his rise to become one of college football's premier quarterbacks, on and off the field.
