Rifle Finishes Second

Charleston, S.C. - The NC State rifle team finished second behind the Air Force Academy, but ahead of the Citadel on Saturday, Jan. 30. The Wolfpack shot a team total of 4,531 with 2,302 in air-rifle and 2,229 in smallbore. Air Force had a total score of 4,633, while the Citadel had 4,449 points.
William Teller again led the Pack shooting a total of 1,151, which is a new personal best. Samantha Bullard shot a new personal best in smallbore with 564 points to contribute to her total of 1,143. Kat Siegert had a solid outing, with 1,133 points. Rachel Jones was right behind her with a total of 1,128.
Bryan Jones contributed to the team with a total of 1,118 points. Martha Hall saw her first action since November, shooting 546 in air-rifle and 549 in smallbore. Mark Nations shot a personal air-rifle best of 564, to bring his total to 1,093. Amy Roderer rounded out the day with a total score of 1,081.
The Wolfpack stand at 12-8 and 8-0 in the SEARC. The next meet will be the Collegiate Sectionals which takes place on Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14 in Charleston S.C.
