Brown, Hill Drafted in Fourth Round

Two former NC State standouts, running back Andre Brown and tight end Anthony Hill, were selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft on Sunday, Apr. 27. Hill was selected by the Houston Texans with the 22nd pick of the fourth round, No. 122 overall. Brown was taken by the New York Giants with the No. 129 overall pick, the 29th selection of the fourth round.
Brown, from Greenville, N.C., was the eighth running back selected in the draft and the first back from the ACC selected. Brown ranks in the top-10 in school history in rushing yards (eighth, 2,500), attempts (seventh, 502), rushing touchdowns (ninth, 21) and all-purpose yards (eighth, 3,455).
Hill, from Houston, Texas, will return to his hometown to play alongside former teammate Mario Williams. Hill caught 80 passes for 848 yards and five touchdowns in his career, despite missing four games his senior season and only playing in four games as a freshman. Four of his five touchdown receptions came in 2008 on just 19 catches.
