Dr. Chris Godbout is the Medical Director of Carolina Back Institute. He joined the practice in 2004.
Dr. Godbout is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He graduated summa cum laude from the Ohio State University prior to earning his medical degree at Wright State University School of Medicine. Dr. Godbout completed his residency at the Medical College of Virginia, where he received the Clinical Excellence Award and trained in the nation's first ACGME accredited physical medicine and rehabilitation interventional pain program. Since then, Dr. Godbout has served as Team Physician for Virginia Commonwealth University Athletics, Staff Medical Officer at Richmond
Community Hospital, and North Carolina State University Physiatrist Consultant.
Dr. Godbout performs fluoroscopically guided epidural steroid injections, facet and sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, BOTOX injections, and spinal cord stimulation trials.
In his spare time, Dr. Godbout enjoys spending time with his young children, coaching sports teams, and cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Dr. Singh is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Singh graduated from Chicago Medical School, and went on to do his residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He then finished his fellowship training at the Penn Spine Center at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders through interventional spine and medical rehabilitation. He is currently a Physiatrist Consultant at North Carolina State University.
Dr. Singh performs cervical, thoracic and lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, percutaneous disc decompression and lumbar discography.
Dr. Singh is married to Geetu Deogun, MD who practices allergy and immunology in Raleigh. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, as well as trying to find time to watch sports and exercise.
