2009 NC State Pro Day

“Organized Mayhem” might be a good way to describe Pro Day. Draft eligible players, current players, coaching staff, scouts, front office personnel and media all cram into a small area to see which players have what it takes to make it to the next level.
NC State’s 2009 Pro Day was no different. Representatives from 30 NFL teams were on hand to watch the Wolfpack’s 2008 seniors, plus some players from Appalachian State, Shaw, Elizabeth City State and even former Pack kicker/punter John Deraney work out.
The day started with the scouts meeting with coaches to discuss players and ask questions. Then everyone convened to the weight room, where players heights and weights were taken, they measured vertical jump and broad jump and did their bench press tests. Then the group went out to the Dail practice facility for the 40-yard run and shuttle runs and other position tests. The players finished the day with a written test.
Anthony Hill and Andre Brown did not participate in all of the drills since they had already been tested at the NFL Combine in February. John Bedics, Jeremy Gray, Ryan Goodman, Meares Green, Antoine Holmes, Robbie Leonard, J.C. Neal, Bradley Pierson and Keith Willis, Jr. participated.
