Played offensive tackle at Gaffney Senior High School for Coach Phil Strickland and is rated the No. 5 overall prospect in South Carolina...The number 6 rated offensive guard by Scout.com...Was a two time all-region and all-area (Spartanburg) player in high school and in 2008 was voted first-team all-state by the Associated Press, Coaches Poll, Media Poll, and HSSR Poll ...  Participated in the Shrine Bowl following his senior campaign...Named to the All-Atlantic Region class of 2009 by Prep Star...During his senior year, his overall blocking grade was 84% and he graded out at 80% or higher in 10 out of 13 games...Tallied 62 knockdown blocks and 30 pancake blocks in the 2008 season...A member of the Giving Back Organization and an Honor Roll student in 2008.
