Pack Places 2 on All-ACC Academic Football Squad

RALEIGH, N.C. Two members of the Wolfpack offense were named to the 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Football team, which was announced by the league office this morning. Offensive guard Meares Green, a biochemistry major, was named to the squad for the second straight year. Quarterback Harrison Beck, a communications major, earned his first mention.
Green started all 13 games for NC State in 2008, and his 772 total snaps ranked second among all offensive players. The Wilmington, N.C., native, who graduated in December, plans to attend medical school this fall.
Beck saw action in six games at quarterback for the Wolfpack last season, starting one contest. He threw for 592 yards last season.
