Raleigh, N.C. - NC State rookie safety Brandan Bishop has been named a member of the Sporting News ACC All-Freshman team. Bishop started eight games for the Wolfpack in 2009, more than any other true freshman and tallied 41 tackles.
The Boca Raton, Fla., native had his biggest plays of the season in just his third career game - the win over Pitt. On 2nd-and-goal with the Panthers driving to tie, he knocked the back for a one-yard loss and on 3rd-and-goal he broke up a pass.
Bishop was one of three true freshmen to start a game for the Pack this season.
