Bryan Named First Team All-ACC

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) – NC State sophomore tight end George Bryan, who was second on the Wolfpack team with 40 receptions this season, was selected first-team All-ACC by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.
Bryan, a part-time starter last year as a freshman, started all 12 of the Wolfpack's games in 2009 and was a favorite target of quarterback Russell Wilson. He caught six touchdown passes, tied for second on the team. He averaged 10.6 yards per catch.
Senior defensive end Willie Young was named to the second team All-ACC squad. He finished the season with 54 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss and eight sacks. He also had one interception and forced two fumbles.
Sophomore quarterback Russell Wilson was named honorable-mention All-ACC. He was the All-ACC first-team quarterback last season as a freshman.
The vote included ballots from 40 ACSMA members.
The 2009 All-Atlantic Coast Conference football team as voted on by 40 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. NOTE: A first-team vote was worth two points and second team vote one.
