Rilfe Falls to Ole Miss, TCU

Charleston, S.C. - The NC State rifle team finished third in the matchup, but records were broken on the day. Overall the Wolfpack had a total record score of 4,573, which was just five points behind Ole Miss. The Pack's smallbore score of 2,267 is also a team record. TCU finished the day with a score of 4,669. The Citadel men finished in fourth with 4,304 points. The Citadel women only competed in air rifle, shooting 2,175.
Rachel Jones led the team with total score of 1,149. Her 572 smallbore score is a personal best. Following her was freshman William Teller, who shot a total of 1,141. Kat Siegert had a total score of 1,140, including a team best 580 air rifle. Bryan Cross' 567 smallbore score was included in the smallbore total, while Samantha Bullard's 576 air rifle score was included in the air rifle total.
Freshman Amy Roderer had a solid outing with a total score of 1,112. Mark Nations shot a 1,099 and Martha Hall shot a 1,083.
The rifle team will travel next to Palmyra, Pa. on Jan. 16, 2010 to particpate in the Palmyra Tournament.
