Rifle Falls to Nebraska

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - The NC State rifle team fell to Nebraska on Saturday, Jan. 17, in Morgantown, W. Va. The Wolfpack shot a total team score of 4,482 after shooting 2,178 in smallbore and 2,304 in air-rifle. Nebraska shot a total of 4,610 to win the match. The Pack is now 15-2 on the season.
Junior Samantha Bullard shot a team high 583 in the air-rifle, the third highest score of the day. Freshman Rachel Jones also had an impressive day, shooting a 580 in the air-rifle, the fourth highest score in the event. Both Bullard's and Jones' air-rifle scores were career highs.
Jones also led the Pack in the smallbore event, shooting a 553. Senior Noel Keck had the second highest score of 550.
NC State will face West Virginia on Sunday, Jan. 18, in MOrgantown, W. Va.
