NC State Women's Golf Winter Roundup

The NC State women’s golf team has been plenty busy during the winter preparing for the pending Spring NCAA season to get underway in early February.
Senior Lauren Doughtie competed in the Harder Hall Women’s Invitational from January 7-10 in Sebring, Fla., in what is considered the official start to the amateur golf season in the Unites States.
Doughtie tied for 15th among a field 76 competitors with a 72-hole score of +13 (74-75-74-78=301).
Four Wolfpack players competed January 1-4 in the Dixie Amateur at Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla.
Freshman Meghan Chapman was the top finisher for the Pack with a 21st-place showing at the four-round tournament. The Seminole, Fla, native finished at +13 (74-76-74-77=301).
Junior Joanna Saleeby placed tied for 26th with a score of +16 (77-73-79-75=304).
Freshman Hunter Ross tied for 31st at +20 (78-75-76-79=308) and sophomore Julie Saleeby wound up 37th at +27 (83-74-79-79=315).
Three other NC State golfers competed at the inaugural Carolinas Young Amateur at the Pinewild Country Club Magnolia course in Pinehurst, N.C. The two-day event ran January 5-6.
Junior Emily Street finished second in the field with a two-round total of +7 (72-79=151) at the par 72, 5,833-yard layout.
Junior Cindel Gwyn placed fourth at +15 (84-75=159), while classmate Kathleen Strandberg finished sixth at +23 (78-86=159).
