Women's Tennis Heads to Virginia Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State women’s tennis team will send six members to compete in the University of Virginia Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. Competition will begin on Friday, Sept. 19 and will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 21. Senior Neils Barringer, juniors Berkeley Brock and Kristen Bleakley, sophomore Lenka Hojckova, and freshmen Diana Mortlock and Pender Sessoms will participate in the event.
Barringer, Mortlock, and Sessoms competed last weekend in the UNCW Collegiate Invite. Mortlock earned the top spot in her singles flight, and Barringer made it to the semifinals of her flight. The two also teamed up to win their doubles bracket. Sessoms went 1-2 in singles and 2-0 in doubles last weekend as well.
