TORONTO, CANADA - It's the Pack's last day in Toronto, and the team is resting up this afternoon before making the trip to the University of Guelph for a 7:00 p.m. tip tonight. Here are some random musings of what the Pack has been doing today.
Hot Shots The Pack once again made the short bus ride over to Ryerson University this morning and had about 60 minutes of shooting drills with free throws at the end. The biggest competition seemed to be the basket were Brandon Costner, Courtney Fells and Dennis Horner were rotating through various three-point shots. When the players got to the top of the key, Fells started off hitting 15-of-20 of his three-point attempts which impressed many. But Horner stepped up right after, and knocked down 16-of-19 attempts in his 60-second span.
Celebrity Sighting? While many people would not consider her an A-list celebrity, maybe not even B-list for that matter, a few of the Pack players were a little star struck today when they ran into Brooke Hogan of VH1’s Brooke Knows Best’ outside the elevators on the way to the morning practice. They reported to those that missed her that she is a legit 6’1”, and definitely looks good in person.
Down Time With the Pack practicing in the morning today, the players were given much of the afternoon off for some well deserved free time. Although it seemed the only activity they partook in was napping until the pre-game meal. The Pack stayed at the Weston Harbour Castle, which is with in walking distance of Toronto’s most famous landmark, the CN Tower, a 1,815 ft tall steel and concrete transmission tower and observation deck which is the second tallest freestanding structure in the world and located right next to the Rogers Centre, the home of the MLB Blue Jays
Early Risers Maybe it’s a good thing the team got a chance to take an afternoon nap, as the alarm clocks are going off early tomorrow morning for the return to Raleigh. The Pack has a 5:30 a.m. wake-up call with the bus leaving the hotel at 6:00 a.m. for the 8:00 a.m. flight. NC State will have a stop in Cincinnati, before continuing onto Raleigh.
