Blackman, Hauschka Sign With NFL Teams

Former NC State standouts Darrell Blackman and Steven Hauschka have both signed with NFL teams this week. Blackman, a wide receiver and return specialist, signed with the Detroit Lions while Hauschka, a kicker, signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
Blackman was named second team All-ACC as a specialist after ranking sixth in the ACC in kirk return average (22.5) and second in punt return average (12.4). The senior wideout from Williamsport, Pa. also ranked fourth in the league in all-purpose yards per game (135.3).
Hauschka led the ACC in field goal percentage in his only season with the Wolfpack. He was also a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award, given annually to the nation's top placekicker. In addition, Hauschka was named to the ACC All-Academic team.
