“I thought we still had a chance at the half even though we didn’t play well in the first half. We still didn’t play the good defense and losses of concentration and mental breakdowns added to the total.
“Injuries have played a part, but we have to think about getting back to doing the basic things that made us a 17 game winner.
“I thought if we won today and finished in a tie for third our chances would be good in terms of the NCAA. The hurt and disappointment comes in that this is a fine group of young men. They worked awfully hard to win 17 games and will now have to work hard at getting it back.
