WRAL to Air Half-Hour Show on 1983 Championship

WRAL-TV will air a half-hour special tonight at 7:30 p.m. called "The Miracle of the Cardiac Pack," honoring the 25th anniversary of NC State's 1983 NCAA Championship run.

Using original game video along with new interviews of key players from that team, the newly produced show follows the season from the first 3-pointer -- and experimental rule back then -- to the final, historic dunk by Lorenzo Charles against Houston in the NCAA title game.

Later this season, ESPN Classic will also air a half-hour special remembering one of college basketball's greatest championship runs. The exact time and date will be announced shortly.
