Rifle Team Wins Second Straight SEARC Championship

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The NC State rifle team finished its season after winning its second straight SEARC Championship on Saturday, March 1 in Charleston, S.C. The Pack, who was 13-0 in the conference before the match, took the win over five other teams, including host Citadel who took second. NC State scored a team composite of 2,264 and were led by Noel Keck with a 575 in the air-rifle only competition. Keck was one point behind the competition's leader, Nikita Dees of Birmingham-Southern who score a 576. This is the Pack's third SEARC Championship.
NC State's team score of 2,264 helped the team to a 19-point win over second place Citadel, who scored a 2,245. BSC was third and scored a 2,238, and Clemson posted a 2,197 for fourth. NGCSU posted a 2,165, and Wofford rounded out the match with a 2,145.
