Wolfpack Players in the NFL: Week Nine

In week nine of the NFL, former Wolfpack player Koren Robinson made a 90-yard touchdown catch for a new Seattle Seahawks record. Pat Thomas recorded 10 tackles, a game-high for him this season, and Stephen Tulloch used seven tackles to help the Titans remain undefeated. Here is a recap of the Pack players in the NFL this past week:
Brian Clark, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Clark played at wide receiver in Tampa Bay’s 30-27 win over Kansas City, but he did not catch a pass.
Jerricho Cotchery, N.Y. Jets: Cotchery started at wide receiver for the Jets in the week nine win over Buffalo, and he caught six passes for 62 yards, including one 35 yard reception. Cotchery also had one rushing attempt for a gain of eight yards. He currently has 492 receiving yards this season. In his five seasons with the Jets, Cotchery has made 231 receptions for 2,894 yards and has had 11 touchdowns.
Leroy Harris, Tennessee Titans: Harris played at center in the Titans’ 19-16 win over Green Bay in week nine.
Torry Holt, St. Louis Rams: As the starting wide receiver for the Rams, Holt had six receptions for 58 yards. He also had one touchdown catch in St. Louis’ 34-13 loss to Arizona. So far this season, Holt has had 32 catches for 347 yards and two touchdowns. Holt is in his tenth season with the Rams and he has 12,211 reception yards from 837 catches.
Marcus Hudson, San Francisco 49ers: The San Francisco 49ers had a bye week in week nine.
Scott Kooistra, Cincinnati Bengals: Kooistra played at guard in the Bengals’ 21-19 win over Jacksonville in week nine.
Manny Lawson, San Francisco 49ers: The San Francisco 49ers had a bye week in week nine.
Sean Locklear, Seattle Seahawks: Locklear started at tackle for the fifth straight game in the Seahawks’ 26-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
John McCargo, Buffalo Bills: McCargo was inactive in the Bills’ 26-17 loss to the New York Jets in week nine.
DaJuan Morgan, Kansas City Chiefs: Morgan played at safety in the Chief’s 30-27 loss to the Buccaneers, but he did not record any tackles.
DeMario Pressley, New Orleans Saints: Pressley has been placed on the injured reserve list due to a fractured foot, and has been out all season.
Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers: Rivers and the San Diego Chargers had a bye week in week nine. So far this season, the Chargers’ starting quarterback has had 149 completions for 2,038 yards and 19 touchdowns. In his career with the Chargers’, Rivers has completed 727 passes for 8,726 yards and 63 touchdowns.
Koren Robinson, Seattle Seahawks: As starting wide receiver for the Seahawks, Robinson made a 90-yard touchdown reception, the longest in Seahawks history, in Seattle’s 26-7 loss to Philadelphia. He made four receptions for 105 yards in the week nine game.
Corey Smith, Detroit Lions: Smith played at defensive end in the Lions’ 27-23 loss to the Chicago Bears, but he did not record a tackle. He has had seven tackles and one sack so far this season.
Pat Thomas, Kansas City Chiefs: Thomas started at middle linebacker for Kansas City in the Chiefs’ 30-27 loss to Tampa Bay in week nine. He recorded 10 tackles, his most in a game this season, including seven solo tackles and three assists. Thomas has now made 47 tackles this season as he moved into a starting position, his most in a season.
Stephen Tulloch, Tennessee Titans: Tulloch had seven solo tackles as a middle linebacker in Tennessee’s 19-16 win over Green Bay to increase his season total to 31 tackles. He also had one pass break-up as he helped the Titans remain undefeated this season. Tulloch has spent three seasons with the Titans and has made 123 career tackles so far.
Tank Tyler, Kansas City Chiefs: As starting defensive tackle, Tyler recorded three tackles in the Chiefs’ 30-27 loss to Tampa Bay. So far this season, he has made 32 tackles.
Brian Williams, Jacksonville Jaguars: As starting safety for the Jaguars, Williams recorded four solo tackles to increase his season total to 44 tackles. Williams also caught his second interception of the season and had two pass break-ups in Jacksonville’s 21-19 loss to Cincinnati. So far in his seven seasons with the Jaguars, Williams has made 407 tackles and 18 interceptions.
Mario Williams, Houston Texans: Williams started at defensive end in the Texans’ 28-21 loss to Minnesota, and he recorded three solo tackles and one sack in week nine. Williams now has 28 total tackles this season and eight sacks. In his three seasons so far with the Houston Texans, Williams has made 134 total tackles and 26.5 sacks.
Adrian Wilson, Arizona Cardinals: As a starting safety for the Cardinals in the team’s 34-13 win over St. Louis, Wilson mad six tackles, and also recorded his first sack of the season. Wilson also made one pass break-up. So far in his eight seasons with the Cardinals, Wilson has made 567 total tackles, 17 sacks, and has made 17 interceptions.
