Rifle Wins SEARC No. 1

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The NC State rifle team set a program record air-rifle score and took top honors at SEARC No. 1 on Saturday, Oct. 11 in Charleston, S.C. The Wolfpack scored a team total of 2,304 in the air-rifle only competition, and host The Citadel came in second with a team score of 2,257. Senior Noel Keck scored a 578, the highest score of the day and a new personal best. The Pack is now 7-1 (5-0 SEARC/0-1 GARC) on the season.
Junior Samantha Bullard posted a 577, and junior Katie Siegert scored a 573. Freshman Rachel Jones had a strong second showing with a score of 576.
The Pack will host its next match of the season, the SEARC No. 2, facing off against members of the conference.
