Rifle Heads to Newkirk Invitational

The NC State rifle team heads to Cookeville, Tenn. to participate in the Newkirk Invitational on Jan. 19. The event, hosted by Tennessee Tech, will also include teams from Murray State, Memphis, and Jacksonville State. The Pack is currently 5-6 on the season after taking second at the Palmyra Invitational last weekend.
NC State began its spring season in Palmyra by taking down Penn State, but falling to Kentucky. Samantha Bullard shot a 571 in the air-rifle to lead the team, and Thomas Knight shot a 560 in the smallbore for a team high of the day.
