Rifle Team Wins Second SEARC Championship

Spartanburg, S.C. - The NC State rifle team won its second SEARC Championship on Saturday, Feb. 17 in Spartanburg, S.C. with a team air-rifle score of 2,296. The Wolfpack defeated the Citadel, Wofford, North Georgia, and Clemson as they set a new team record SEARC score. Samantha Bullard set a new personal record after she shot the highest score of the day with 578, improving the Pack to 33-4 (19-0 SEARC/0-5 GARC) on the season.
Marshall, Thomas Knight, Matthew Gifford, Katie Siegert, Tori Kostecki, and Bullard were six of the eight shooters named to the All SEARC Team. Marshall and Knight tied in the Olympic Style Finals to determine the overall Individual Champion. In the tiebreaker, Marshall posted a perfect ten while Knight fired an eight, giving Marshall her third consecutive Individual Championship.
The red and while will head to Oxford, Mississippi for the GARC Championships. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24 and Sunday, Feb 25 all day.
