Rifle Finishes Regular Season With a Win

Charleston, S.C. - The NC State rifle team finished its regular season on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10-11, witha win after competing in the SEARC No. 6 and the NCAA Qualifiers. With a smallbore score of 2,227 and an air-rifle score of 2,281, the red and white finished with an overall score of 4,508. Thomas Knight led the Wolfpack in the smallbore, setting a new team record with a score of 574. Jennifer Marshall tied for the highest score in the air-rifle for the whole competition with 581. The Pack is now 28-4 (15-0 SEARC/0-5 GARC) on the season.
In the NCAA qualifier for the air-rifle, NC State defeated the Citadel Co-ed, Citadel Women, Wofford, Mercer, North Georgia, Clemson, and Austin Peay teams. For the smallbore, the team defeated the Citadel Co-ed, Citadel Women, and Clemson teams.
Next up for the Wolfpack is the SEARC Championships, held at Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C. The competition will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17 all day.
