'When March Went Mad' Debuts Today in Triangle

GoPack.com managing editor Tim Peeler's book, When March Went Mad: A celebration of the 1982-83 National Championship has arrived from the publisher and is now available at the GoPack.com store in Raleigh's Crabtree Valley Mall.
The 295-page book chronicles the Wolfpack's remarkable run to the 1983 NCAA Championship a quarter century ago, based on hundreds of hours of interviews with the players, coaches, support personnel and others who lived through one of the most memorable post-season runs in college basketball history.
In the book's foreword, ESPN personality Dick Vitale wrote: "Who could ever forget Coach V running around, looking for someone to love and to share his enthusiasm with? It was one of the most captivating moments in the history of the Final Four, and perhaps the seminal moment of what we now call 'March Madness. There is no question that North Carolina State's victory made an impression across the nation, because it showed that the little guy always has a chance."
Fans can also relive the magic of the 1983 on a special 25th anniversary page of GoPack.com, as Peeler recreates the season as it happened 25 years ago, with game stories, boxscores, statistics, features, pictures and video of that season.
In addition to the GoPack Store, When March Went Mad is available on-line at GoPack.com. All previous orders are currently being filled and should be mailed by the end of the week. Because of the delay in the book's arrival from the publisher, GoPack.com will extend the offer for personalized, autographed books through Nov. 25.
The book will also be available at the NC State Student Bookstore on Thursday and in major retail bookstores by the end of the week.
Peeler has four autograph sessions scheduled for the next six weeks: On Nov. 29 at the Barnes & Noble in Cary; on Nov. 30 at the GoPack Store at Crabtree Valley Mall; on Dec. 7 at the NC State Student Bookstore and on Dec. 21 at the GoPack Store.
