Rifle Falls in First Match

Morgantown, W.Va. - In its first time shooting on electronic targets, the NC State rifle team fell just short in its first match of the season to West Virginia on Saturday, October 6 in Morgantown, W. Va. The Wolfpack starts at 0-1 (0-0 SEARC/0-1 GARC) on the season.
NC State scored 4,506 (2,276 air-rifle/2,230 smallbore) and West Virginia posted 4,618 (2,301 air-rifle/2,317 smallbore). Senior Thomas Knight posted a personal best in the air-rifle with a score of 580, and junior Noel Keck shot a 569 in the smallbore for a new personal record.
The Wolfpack will next compete against North Georgia. The match will be on Saturday, Oct. 20 in Dahlonega, Ga.
