Friday Baseball Scrimmage Rained Out

RALEIGH, N.C. Friday’s Game 7 of NC State’s intrasquad Fall World Series has been postponed because of the weather.

The game has tentatively been rescheduled for Sunday, with plans now calling for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The final game is slated for Tuesday, with the game time still to be determined.

The schedule still is subject to further change, however. Due of the cancellation of Friday’s game, the coaching staff will have to rescript the pitching plans for the three-game series. Any additional changes to the schedule will be reported on gopack.com.

Tentative pitching match-ups have Eryk McConnell and Eric Surkamp starting the first game of the weekend, with Drew Taylor and Clayton Shunick set for the second game. Alex Sogard and Jason Zinser are the scheduled starters for the weekend finale on Tuesday.
