Rifle Wins SEARC No. 2

Dahlonega, Ga. - The NC State rifle team took the top spot at the SEARC No. 2, held in Dahlonega, Ga. on Saturday, Oct. 20. The Wolfpack scored a combined 2,260 in the air-rifle only competition, taking the top spot by 11 points in the event. Thomas Knight was the top shooter of the day with a score of 574, and Noel Keck posted a new personal record of 571. The Pack is now 4-1(3-0 SEARC).
NC State posted an overall score of 2260 in both NCAA and SEARC to give the team the win. The Citadel had a SEARC score of 2,249, and the men had an NCAA score of 2,228, and the women a 1,976. North Georgia, who hosted the match, scored a 2,189 SEARC score. Mercer rounded out the competition with a SEARC score of 1828 and an NCAA score of 1810.
The rifle team will head to Lexington, Ky. on Saturday, Nov. 3, to take on Mississippi, and will compete against Kentucky on Nov. 4.
