Rifle Finishes Second to USMA

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State rifle team finished second behind the United States Military Academy on Sunday, Jan. 28 in Raleigh, N.C. The Wolfpack finished with an overall score of 4,484, just shy of the Army's 4,574 points. Thomas Knight led the team in the smallbore with a personal best of 571, and Tori Kostecki posted a score of 570 in the air-rifle. The Pack is now 17-4 (10-0 SEARC/1-4 GARC) on the season.
The red and white posted 2,219 in the smallbore and 2,265 in the air-rifle for an overall score of 4,484. The Citadel's Co-ed and women's teams also participated in the competition, falling short of USMA and NC State.
The Wolfpack will host The Citadel and the Virginia Military Institute next Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Wake County Firearms Education Center in Holly Springs, N.C.
