Rifle Sets Record in Loss to Memphis

Cookeville, Tenn. - The NC State rifle team took second place at the
Newkirk Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 20, in Cookeville, Tenn., posting a new school
record of 4,527 for the overall score. The Wolfpack also set a season high
in smallbore with 2,252 clip. Jennifer Marshall lead the team in both
categories, including setting a new personal best in smallbore with
a 572. The red and white now stand at 12-3 (8-0 SEARC/ 1-3 GARC) on the
season.
The Pack posted a 2,275 in the air-rifle and a 2,252 smallbore for a
combined score of 4,527. The effort fell just a few points shy of Memphis'
4,536 (2,296 air-rifle/2,240 smallbore).
The Wolfpack will host its next match-up, the SEARC No. 5, next Saturday,
Jan. 27.
