Rifle Falls to Kentucky

Palmyra, Pa. - The NC State rifle team fell to Kentucky in the Palmyra Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 13, in Palmyra, Pa. Thomas Knight set a new personal best with a 564 smallbore score, while Jennifer Marshall led the team with a 581 in the air-rifle. Following the team’s first spring competition, the Wolfpack now stands at 11-2 (8-0 SEARC/0-2 GARC) on the season.
The Pack posted a 2,284 air-rifle score, and a 2,219 smallbore for a total of 4,503. The score fell just short of a strong Kentucky 4,631 effort (2,334 air-rifle/2,297 smallbore).
The red and white will head to Cookeville, Tenn. on Saturday, Jan. 20, to take on Memphis at the Newkirk Invitational.
