NFL Pack Blitz: Week 3

Raleigh, N.C. - Week 3 of the NFL season saw a trio of former Pack wideouts excel and help their teams to victories, while a couple of rookies are still trying to help their squads to thier first wins of the young season. Here are some of the standout performances from former NC State football players in Week 2:
• Torry Holt helped the St. Louis Rams to a 16-14 win at Arizona. Holt lead the Rams with eight catches for 120 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown catch.
• In the loss for Arizona, Adrian Wilson had four tackles.
• Koren Robinson had a productive day in helping the Green Bay Packers to their first win of the season, 31-24 over the Detroit Lions. Robinson returned three punts on the day, averaging 28.0 yards a return. He also caught his first pass of the season, for 24 yards.
• Terrence Holt was on the other side of the ball in that loss of Detroit, as he finished with three tackles.
• Jerricho Cotchery pulled in three catches for 33 yards in the NY Jets 28-20 win over the Buffalo Bills. The Jets improved to 2-1 on the season.
• John McCargo had two tackles for the Bills in that loss.
• Brian Williams finished with four tackles in the Jacksonville Jaguars first loss of the season, 21-14 at Indianapolis.
• Two rookies are currently winless with 0-3 records. Mario Williams had two tackles in Houston’s 31-15 loss to Washington, and Stephen Tulloch also was credited with two tackles in Tennessee’s 13-10 loss at Miami.
• Linebacker Patrick Thomas of the Jacksonville Jaguars was placed on injured reserve this week, and will miss the rest of the season.
• Oliver Hoyte (Dallas Cowboys), Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers) and Alvis Whitted (Oakland Raiders) were all on byes this week.
