Brackman Helps U.S. National Team to Victory

Making his first start for the U.S. National Team at the FISU World University Championships in Havana, Cuba on Thursday night, NC State’s Andrew Brackman allowed just an unearned run in three innings of work. The rising Wolfpack junior was long gone when team USA rallied from a 5-4 deficit to post a 12-5 victory over Mexico.

The U.S. Team improved to 4-0 in the tournament and will close out the pool B portion of its schedule Friday night against Chinese Taipei, which is also 4-0.

Overall on Thursday, Brackman struck out three and walked two in his no decision.
