Mountcastle Tied For Fourth Heading Into Final Round

PINEHURST, N.C. - Nancy Mountcastle shot three strokes over par in the second round of the ACC Championship Saturday and is five over and tied for fourth place, leading the NC State women's golf team. The Wolfpack slipped to fifth place with one round to play at the par 72 Pinehurst #8.
Stephanie Derrey is tied for ninth place at eight over and Molly Birmingham is tied for 22nd at 12 over. Lorraine Ballerano is tied for 26th place at 13 over and Jessica Vincent is also competing for NC State.
Top-ranked Duke leads the nine-team field at 15 over and Blue Devil Amanda Blumenherst is in first place at four under. The ACC Championship concludes Sunday with a third and final round of 18 holes. Complete results, as well as live scoring, are available at www.golfstat.com.
