RALEIGH - With the annual spring football game 10 days away, it's time to start thinking forward to the 2006 NC State football season.
Because a week after the spring game, which will be held at 4 p.m. on April 8 at Carter-Finley Stadium, is the early deadline for season-ticket renewals.
And there is a benefit to getting renewals in early: everyone who meets the April 15 deadline will be entered to win one of five panoramic photos of Carter-Finley Stadium, signed by Chuck Amato. To begin the renewal process on-line, sign in here.
"We encourage everyone to renew early because it allows us to be more effective and efficient in doing our seating and parking assignments," said Brian Kelly, NC State's director of ticket operations. "The more we have in early, the quicker we can start the assignment process."
Kelly expects that all season tickets will be sold out for the seventh consecutive year.
The final deadline for ticket renewal is May 15, and the assignment process will start soon after that. Tickets will be mailed in early August, about a month before the Sept. 2 season-opener against defending NCAA Division I-AA champion Appalachian State.
This year's home schedule includes non-conference home games against the Mountaineers, Akron and East Carolina and ACC games against Boston College, Wake Forest, Florida State and Georgia Tech. The full 2006 season schedule is available here.
Several major events promotions will be on-going throughout the season, as Carter-Finley Stadium celebrates its 40th anniversary, beginning with Super Saturday activities on April 8.
The 4 p.m. spring game follows a 1 p.m. home baseball game against Wake Forest at Doak Field, giving fans the opportunity to catch a Wolfpack double-header in the same afternoon.

According to Wolfpack Club associate director Stephen Ponder, about two-thirds of the approximately 3,650 available new seats have been purchased through Lifetime Rights Seating (LTRs). For more information about Red Zone LTRs, visit the Wolfpack Club site here.
Or direct any inquiries to Ryan King at rking@wolfpackclub.com or (919) 865-1458.
Among other promotions coming for the fall is the $10 Wolf Patch, which is similar to the patches worn on players' jerseys during post-season bowl games. Fans wearing the patches will be eligible for discounts at several Triangle-area retailers. For more information on the Wolf Patch, click here.
"It's another way to get fans more involved with game-day activities," said Chris Alston, NC State's director of marketing and promotions.
