Rifle Performs Well on First Day at Collegiate Sectionals

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The NC State rifle team returned to action on Saturday, Feb. 11, in the first of two days at the Collegiate Sectionals in Charleston, S.C. Competing in air rifle, the day's event counted as both a South Eastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) bout, as well as an NCAA Qualifier. The Pack finished first overall in the air rifle match, with junior Jennifer Marshall firing the highest overall score at 583. Marshall's mark also sets a new record for the NC State rifle program and eclipses her old personal best of 581.
The Wolfpack rifle team will continue tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 12, during the second day of the Collegiate Sectionals. The team will compete in small bore against the Citadel.
