Corona Named Preseason All-American

RALEIGH, N.C. — Louisville Slugger, in conjunction with Collegiate Baseball magazine, has named NC State infielder Ramon Corona a preseason All-American. Collegiate Baseball named Corona to its third-team All-America squad. Previously, the National College Baseball Writers named NC State infielder Ramon Corona a third-team preseason All-American.

Corona, a junior from Coral Gables, Fla., batted .353 with 19 doubles, five triples, six home runs and 57 RBIs in 2006 for the Wolfpack, which finished the season 40-23. Corona earned first-team All-ACC honors and is the second-leading hitter returning in ACC play this season.
