Rifle Takes SEARC No. 3

Charleston, S.C. - The NC State rifle team won the SEARC No. 3 competition on Saturday, Nov. 4, in Spartanburg, S.C., remaining undefeated on the season. The Pack featured the top five shooters in air-rifle and the top six in smallbore. Six Wolfpack shooters established new personal records, as well as a new team smallbore best of 2,239. The red and white now stand at 11-0 overall and 8-0 in SEARC action.
The Wolfpack posted a 2,278 NCAA air-rifle score and a 2,287 SEARC effort. Combined with its smallbore tally, the Pack's total of 4,517 topped Birmingham Southern, The Citadel, Clemson, North Georgia and Wofford.
NC State will close out fall competition on Saturday, Nov. 18, hosting past multiple national champion West Virginia. The event will mark the Pack's only home appearance this semester.
