Rifle to Host West Virginia

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State rifle team will host past multiple national champion West Virginia this Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Wake County Firing Range. The match marks the Pack's only home event of the fall semester. The red and white stand at 11-0 overall and 8-0 in the South Eastern Air-Rifle Conference (SEARC). The date with the Mountaineers will mark the Pack's first bout in Great America Rifle Conference action this season. West Virginia enters the competition at 2-3 (1-3 GARC).
NC State won the Virginia Military Institute Invitational to being its fall slate on Saturday, Oct 7, firing a 4,439 total score. The Pack then finished first at the SEARC No. 2 bout, shooting a 2,292 total on Saturday, Oct. 21. Two weekends ago, Saturday, Nov. 4, the Pack took first at SEARC No. 3 with a 4,517 effort.
