Rifle Team Claims First Victory at VMI Invite

Lexington, Va. - The NC State rifle team won the Virginia Military Institute Invitational on Saturday Oct. 7th in Lexington, Virginia. The Pack outperformed VMI and Ohio State in both smallbore rifle and air-rifle. The red and white placed first in the smallbore competition with a score of 2,221 while finishing second in air-rifle with a 2,218 mark.
Thomas Knight placed first in air rifle with 566 points followed by Matt Gifford with 563. Tori Kostecki, Katie Siegert and Samantha Bullard each posted a 555 clip. Jennifer Marshall won the smallbore category with a score of 599.
