NFL Pack Blitz: Week 7

Raleigh, N.C. - Week 7 of the NFL season saw three NFL contests that pitted former Wolfpack players against each other, one wideout helping his club to their first win, and a former Pack linebacker getting snaps at fullback. Here are some of the standout performances from former NC State football players in Week 7:
Jerricho Cotchery led the NY Jets with seven catches for 79 yards in the 31-24 win over the Detroit Lions. In that same game, Terrence Holt had an interception for the second week in a row, and finished with 10 tackles in the loss.
Philip Rivers and the San Diego Charges were in a tight contest at Kansas City, but fell to the Chiefs 30-27. Rivers completed 25-of-43 passes for 266 yards and two scores on the day. He is currently sixth in the NFL with a passer rating of 96.3.
Oliver Hoyte saw snaps as the Dallas Cowboys fullback on goalline situations in the 36-22 loss to the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.
Alvis Whitted had two catches for 24 yards in the Oakland Raiders first win of the season, 22-9 over Arizona. For the Cardinals, Adrian Wilson picked up his fifth interception of the season.
Mario Williams had one sack for the Houston Texasn in their 27-7 win over Jacksonville. Brian Williams finished with three tackles for the Jags.
After spending all season on the practice squad, wide receiver Brian Clark was called up to the Denver Broncos early this week.
Torry Holt (St. Louis), Stephen Tulloch (Tennessee), and Manny Lawson and Marcus Hudson (San Francisco 49ers) were all on byes this week.
