Dance Team
Welcome to the official web site for the NCSU Dance Team. The Dance team was formed in 1994. Since then, it has grown tremendously and now performs at all home football games, basketball games, and various university events. In addition, the team can often be seen throughout the community performing at charity events.Despite all of its accomplishments, the Dance Team is still not a fully funded sport. With an annual expense of over $45,000, the team relies mainly on private donations, sponsors, and fundraisers to cover all of its cost. If you are interested in supporting the Dance Team, in any way possible, please contact the head coach of the program. The dance team would be more than happy to hear from you!
The Dance Team has earned national honors each year since its formation at the annual Chick-Fil-A Collegiate Cheer and Dance National Championship. In 1999 and 2001, the team had its highest finish coming in second place. In all other years, the team has consistently placed in the top ten. This past 2005-2006 season, the dance team placed third in the nation!
