RALEIGH, N.C. - Season tickets for the 2006 Wolfpack baseball season went on sale in late December through the NC State ticket office and the Wolfpack Club. The cost is $100 for the entire 32-game package. Reserved parking in the lot above the tennis courts is available for an additional $50.
The Wolfpack will enter the 2006 season nationally ranked by Baseball America and the Rosenblatt Report. Seven everyday starters and 11 pitchers return from last year's 41-19 NCAA Tournament team, including preseason All-America first baseman Aaron Bates, who batted .425 as a sophomore a year ago and led the team in almost every offensive category. The everyday lineup also returns second baseman Ramon Corona, shortstop Jonathan Diaz, outfielders Ryan Pond, Matt Camp and Brian Aragon, and DH Aaron Cone.
The pitching staff returns two proven righthanded starters in Gib Hobson and Andrew Brackman (once basketball season is over). Lefthanders Jason Duncan and Branden Knapp, and righthanders Sam Walls, Adam McLaurin, Alan Letchworth and Matt Payne all pitched valuable innings in 2005.
A strong class of highly regarded newcomers will add depth to both the everyday lineup and the pitching staff.
Lifetime seating for NC State baseball is available through the Wolfpack Club, although lifetime rights are not necessary to buy season tickets. Although season-ticket orders will be accepted through late February, season ticket-holders need to purchase their seats by January 20 in order to receive their tickets in time for the February 3 season-opener vs. Delaware State.
As a new amenity this season, a 15-person suite will be available in the Frank Weedon press box for select Wolfpack home games. The suite is temperature controlled, with public address and home radio available via intercom. Total cost is $225 per game for 15 seats in the suite and can be reserved through the marketing and promotions office.
For Wolfpack Club members, purchasing baseball season tickets will add a point to your priority for Wolfpack Club rank, which ultimately determines seating assignments and parking.
