Raleigh, N.C. - NC State men's basketball recruit Ben McCauley (Herminie, Pa.) has been selected to play in the 32nd Annual Capital Classic this Friday, April 22 at the Patriot Center on the campus of George Mason University. This is a great honor as many of today's NBA stars have played in this game including the last two #1 overall picks. The District Vs. Suburban All-Star Game is at 6:00 p.m., while the Capital All-Stars will take on the U.S. All-Stars (McCauley's squad) at 8:00 p.m.
McCauley capped off his career at Yough High School averaging 28.8 points and 16.5 rebounds as a senior. He was named the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Player of the Year. McCauley helped his squad advance in the playoffs for only the second time in school history, and also became only the 20th player in WPIAL history to score over 2,000 points for a career.
