Washington and McCargo Are Top Performers in Spring Practice

Tailback Bobby Washington was named the Most Valuable performer on offense, while defensive tackle John McCargo won the award for defense for their performances during 2005 spring workouts. The annual awards, which were voted on by the coaching staff, were announced to the team before today's spring game.
The team's leadership awards were given to seniorsTramain Hall, Brian Clark and T.J. Williams on offense, while J.J. Jones and Pat Lowery won that honor on the defensive side. Offensive tackle James Newby and defensive end Mario Williams were named the team's most "Most Dominant" performers.
The team's top newcomer on offense was given to a senior: Dwayne Herndon, who moved to offensive guard this spring after spending the rest of his career on the defensive line. Roverback DaJuan Morgan, who redshirted last season, was named the top newcomer on defense.
